Bombay High Court has given their decision on the Siddhivinayak Temple Trust Fund Transfer Issue

Yes this dispute is related to prohibiting the transfer of funds from Siddhivinayak Temple Trust. Recently, three major government proposals were sent to Shri Siddhi Vinayak Ganapati Temple Trust of Mumbai. It was requested to the temple trust committee on 19 March and 25 June and 25 July respectively to donate 5-5 Crores fund in Chief Minister Relief fund by Shiva Meal Scheme for fighting with covid-19.

Siddhivinayak Temple Fund Transfer Issue

Let us tell you that the Siddhivinayak temple here in Mumbai has always been the center of the faith of devotees. Just recently, a devotee from Delhi offered around 35 kg of gold in the temple, whose actual value is believed to be around ₹ 14 Crore. Not only this, the offerings to the temple are also increasing continuously. In 2017, the total donation was Rs 320 crores, which increased to Rs 410 crores in 2019. When the temple was asked to transfer the money, advocate Leela Ranga filed a petition in the Mumbai High Court.

According to Leela Ranga, this money transfer is illegal under the provisions of Shri Siddhi Vinayak Ganapathi Temple Trust Act 1980. He argued that this fund transfer was not justified in any way. In this matter Mumbai High Court denied outright that it cannot grant any postponement order for this money transfer. Along with this, the Mumbai High Court also made it clear that if any irregularity is found in the transfer of funds later, the government will be investigated.
