PM Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate 1.75 Lakh homes built under PMAY (PM Awas Yojna)

PM Awas Yojna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 12, 2020 will inaugurate 1.75 lakh houses which are built in Madhya Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). PMAY (PM Awas Yojna) is a housing initiative which was launched in India in 2015 by Government of India. This was done to provide affordable housing to both urban and the rural poor. PM Narendra Modi’s Tweet said that this is another significant advance in accomplishing the objective of giving a house to each family in this country by 2022.

The Prime Minister will also participate in the inauguration ceremony through video conferencing. He will be addressing the crowd by highlighting some key aspects of the said scheme.

PM Awas Yojna for MP

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will likewise be available on the event. This information was shared by PM Modi on the Friday through Twitter. He also said that this will be an important step in achieving of the goal of being able to provide houses to the poor by 2022.

So far 1.14 Crore houses have just been built across the nation under this program. In MP, 17 lakh poor families have likewise profited by this plan till now. These are largely families of needy individuals who either had no house or lived in frail makeshift houses. PMAY ( PM Awas Yojna ) targets to build and provide 20 million affordable houses by March 2022. These houses have been constructed/finished during the current COVID-19 pandemic period. These houses which are built under PM Awas Yojana – Gramin are evidence that the COVID-19 pandemic also couldn’t stop the development works.
