Now the Pakistan Cricket Board has played a new gamble against BCCI. He has asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) to take a written and a guarantee from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that his team has a visa to play in the 2021 T20 World Cup in India and the 50-over World Cup to be held in 2023.
PCB chief executive Wasim Khan said in an interview that, ‘We are also looking at the fact that the ICC World Cup is to be hosted in India in 2021 and 2023 and we have already told the ICC that we have written to the BCCI to promise that we will not face any problem in getting visas and in relation to approval to play in India.
According to a senior official, the PCB has asked the ICC to tell the BCCI to get assurances from its government in the next few months.
The official also confirmed that the ICC Executive Board in its next meeting will decide whether the next World T20 Cup will be hosted by Australia or by India. Khan said that the World T20 is unexpected to be held in Australia this year.

He said that ‘The biggest question now is when the World T20 Cup will be held in 2021, will it be hosted by Australia or will India host it, because India already has the rights to host the World T20 Cup in 2021.
