Police stop Congressmen going to oppose Jyotiraditya Scindia on Banmore-Gwalior border

Amid political ups and downs, a major incident yesterday forced the police to detain more than 200 Congress workers on the Gwalior border. All these Congress workers were going to protest Jyotiraditya Scindia’s participation in the BJP convention in Gwalior, riding in more than 60 vehicles. This opposition of Congress workers is because Jyotiraditya Scindia has left the Congress and joined BJP recently.

Let us tell you that Jyotiraditya Scindia was going to do a program in Gwalior with Honorable Shivraj Singh Chauhan under the BJP Maha Membership Campaign. The preparations for this program were quick on Saturday and it was planned to start at 11:00 am.

On the other hand, Jyotiraditya Scindia along with CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan was to join the BJP’s grand membership campaign. Some Congress workers did not like this thing and they were going to Gwalior to protest this event and BJP’s General Membership Campaign. Keeping a close watch on the security system, the police of Old Cantonment Police Station stopped the convoy of more than 200 Congress workers going to Gwalior on the Banmour Gwalior border and deployed heavy police force to maintain security.


On the other hand, the Congress workers protested at being stopped from going to Gwalior and created a lot of commotion by blocking the highway. In all these incidents, the police also showed readiness and arrested all the incoming Congressmen and sent them to Gwalior Jail.
